Sanjay Batra, PhD, FACC

Dr. Batra obtained his PhD in medical physiology from the University of Ottawa, Canada and completed post-doctoral training in Japan and Switzerland. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and also an Adjunct Professor at the Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Batra has over 20 years of global healthcare and entrepreneurial experience in start-ups, biotech and large pharma including 10 years in the Johnson & Johnson family of companies, culminating as Vice President, R&D Pharmaceuticals, Asia-Pacific and Japan. In his career Dr. Batra has been directly involved in over 80 clinical trials in all phases of development. In 2010, Sanjay successfully transitioned from an R&D executive to President & CEO of an emerging, commercial stage company in regenerative medicine, Aesthetic Factors (SELPHYL®). He founded VIAS Partners in 2013 with the aspiration to take his diverse experiences and global network to partner with entrepreneurs and companies to advance their business with value, innovation and strategy. With the acquisition of SELPHYL® by a private equity group, Sanjay returns to the helm as Founder, President & CEO.
Kristin Shuffler, BA
Director, Finance & International
Ms. Shuffler completed her B.A. Degree in Accounting from Rider University and has spent her career focusing on accounting, bookkeeping, taxation, payroll, financial statements and business operations. Kristin began her career and the State of New Jersey Criminal Investigation Tax fraud unit where she successfully investigated and recovered tax monies that were received from fraudulent activities. Most recently, Kristin has served as the accounting manager for a successful physician’s office. Kristin has also worked in Business Operations, managing international sales through a broad network of distribution partners.
Jim Weeks, BSc
Director, US Sales
Mr. Weeks received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics from Oswego State University. Jim began his career in the medical laser field working for Cooper Lasersonics in the Quality Assurance Department. He then launched his management career at Sharplan Lasers serving 13 years as the Vice President of Technical Operations. In that role he established a strong national technical and sales network. In 1996 Jim started his own sales and marketing company and has since built a very strong sales network covering the United States. In 2009 Jim began his involvement in the field of regenerative medicine by representing SELPHYL® PRFM and he continues to have interest and involvement in other modalities including collagen induction therapy and hair restoration.
